I Want It All
By: Queen

I want it all I want it all I want it all and I want it now
Adventure seeker on an empty street
Just an alley creeper light on his feet
young fighters screaming with no time for doubt
With the pain and anger can't see a way out
It ain't much I'm asking I heard him say
Gotta find me a future move out of my way
I want it all I want it all I want it all and I want it now
I want it all I want it all I want it all and I want it now

Listen all you people come gather round
I gotta get me a new game plan gotta shake you to the ground
Just give me what I know is mine
People do you hear me just give me the sign
It ain't much I'm asking if you want the truth
Here's to the future for the dreams of youth
I want it all (give it all) I want it all I want it all and I want
it now
I want it all (yes I want it all) I want it all (hey)
I want it all and I want it now

I'm a man with a one track mind
So much to do in one life time (Do you hear me people?)
Not a man for compromise and where's and why's and living
lies
So I'm living it all (yes I'm living it all)
And I'm giving it all (and I'm giving it all)

Yeah yeah
Yeah yeah yeah yeah
I want it all all all all

It ain't much I'm asking if you want the truth
Here's to the future
Hear the cry of youth (hear the cry hear the cry of youth)
I want it all I want it all I want it all and I want it now
I want it all (yeah yeah yeah) I want it all I want it all and I
want it now

I want it
Now
I want it I want it NOW

The song "I Want It All" by Queen relates to the topic ambition and also to the character Julius Caesar. In the first verse "Adventure seeker on an empty street. Just an alley creeper light on his feet, young fighters screaming with no time for doubt. With the pain and anger can't see a way out. It ain't much I'm asking I heard him say. Gotta find me a future move out of my way" The artist is saying in the last verse that no one is going to stop him from achieving his dreams much like Caesar. Caesar ignored the warning about the Ides of March nothing was going to stop him from being the great ruler. "Listen all you people come gather round I gotta get me a new game plan gotta shake you to the ground Just give me what I know is mine People do you hear me just give me the sign It ain't much I'm asking if you want the truth." Here he is gathering the people to listen to his goals in life and what he plans to do. He wants them to give him the "sign" In Julius Caesar the citizens gather around Caesar and worship him. They forgot about the great leader Pompey and began following Caesar. And this upset Cassius and the conspirators. Because of Caesar's ambition they had to kill him.
Also in this song the chorus repeats "I want it all I want it now" Caesar's ambition made him want to get to the top and rule all over Rome. He was very smart about it. For example when Antony offered him the crown Caesar refused it three times. So he could win over the people's trust . "So I'm living it all" I believe Caesar was living his dream in being the ruler over Rome. So not only is this a great song from Queen it relates to Caesar and to his ambition.

simile- ambition is like being in love, it can be a great, positive thing, but one wrong decision and it can tear you apart.

metaphor- ambition is an elephant balancing on a ball, enthralling and highly unstable.

simile- Julius Caesar is like a top, ambitious and spinning out of control.

He was my friend, faithful and just to me.
But Brutus says he was ambitious,
And Brutus is an honorable man.
He hath brought many captives home to Rome
Whose ransoms did the general coffers fill.
Did this in Caesar seem ambitious?
When that the poor have cried, Caesar hath wept.
Ambition should be made of sterner stuff.
Yet Brutus says he was ambitious,
And Brutus is an honorable man.
You all did see that on the Lupercal
I thrice presented him a kingly crown,
Which he did thrice refuse. Was this ambition?
Yet Brutus says he was ambitious,
And, sure, he is an honorable man.

He was my homie fo' life, he was real
But Brutus says he was ambitious
Yo but Brutus, gotta respect the man
He brought many homies back to the hood
And their dough improved the hood
Did this O.G. of Caesar seem ambitious? Nahh;
When the poor cried Caesar shed tears too
Ambition shouldn't be so soft
But Brutus be saying he was "ambitious"
Yo but Brutus, gotta respect the man
All yall saw what happened in Lupercal
I offered him the crown
But what did he do? Refused it not only once but three times!
Was this ambition? Nahhh;
But Brutus says he was ambitious;
But as I said before you gotta respect Brutus

This quote is important because this was after the death of Caesar. Mark Antony is defending his friend Julius Caesar and telling the citizens that Brutus was wrong Caesar was a good man. Caesar stuck through thick and thin with the citizens. When they cried he cried as well. He asks the citizens multiple times if they think this is ambitious but after he says that Brutus is an honorable man. He isn't trying to get the citizens against Brutus he is simply stating the facts.
